Healthy Sesame Chicken Take Out Fake Out

This sesame chicken recipe will satisfy your taste for take-out Chinese Sesame Chicken. It's almost guilt-free since the chicken is not deep fried, which is a plus if you want all the take-out taste without the added pounds.









Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 5 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
  • 3/4 teaspoon toasted sesame seed oil
  • 3 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced or grated on a Microplane
  • 2 egg whites
  • 4 tablespoons corn starch
  • 3 medium sized chicken breasts, chopped in small bite sized pieces
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2-3 tablespoons coconut oil (or canola)
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, chopped into small pieces
  • 4 green onions, chopped finely + 1 for garnish
  • Rice for serving
